LHU hosts Vietnam - Japan Friendship Cultural Exchange Program in Dong Nai 2024

On November 30, 2024, Lac Hong University hosted the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Cultural Exchange Program 2024, fostering deeper cultural ties and mutual understanding between the two nations. The event was organized in collaboration with the Dong Nai Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association.

Attending the event were Mr. Furudate Seiki, Deputy Consul General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri, Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet, Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association and many members of the Association. From LHU, there were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan - Vice Rector; Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghi - Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, along with lecturers and students.

The event provided LHU students and the people of Dong Nai with an enriching opportunity to gain deeper insights into the cultures of Vietnam and Japan. Aimed at strengthening traditional friendship, the program created a platform for cultural exchange, fostering mutual understanding, and highlighting the development achievements of both nations.

Participants enjoyed music performances, culinary booths featuring Vietnamese and Japanese dishes, and an exhibition of friendship-themed paintings created by students in Dong Nai. These activities highlighted the cultural richness of both nations while promoting mutual respect and appreciation.

At the program, all the participants enjoyed various music performances, culinary booths introducing some typical Vietnamese and Japanese dishes and visited the exhibition of Vietnam - Japan friendship paintings done by Dong Nai students...

On this occasion, the Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association awarded 42 prizes to students for their outstanding achievements in the competitions: Vietnam - Japan friendship painting, Haiku poetry writing and Japanese speech. This recognition underscores the value of creativity and academic excellence in fostering cultural ties.

The program not only welcomed the 3rd Congress of the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations, term 2024 - 2029 but also celebrated the 51st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. LHU continues to affirm its pioneering role in promoting cultural exchange, accompanying the community and fostering strong connections among the people of Vietnam and Japan. 

The Vietnam - Japan Friendship Cultural Exchange Program 2024 at LHU exemplifies the university's commitment to SDG17 through fostering international collaboration and community engagement. By celebrating cultural diversity and rewarding academic excellence, LHU strengthens ties between Vietnam and Japan, promoting sustainable cultural and educational development.
