Beyond acquiring knowledge through specialized academic courses, Accounting students need to understand how businesses organize and manage their production activities to develop a comprehensive appreciation of the role of accounting in professional practice. In line with this educational objective, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at Lac Hong University (LHU) organized an industry field visit to Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company, providing students from class 24KT112 with an opportunity to broaden their knowledge and gain firsthand exposure to a manufacturing environment.
On the afternoon of October 28, 2026, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting organized an educational field visit and experiential learning activity at Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company, located in Tan Binh Industrial Park, Ho Chi Minh City. The visit involved 37 Accounting students from class 24KT112, accompanied by faculty members and administrative staff.
During the visit, students received an overview of Acecook Vietnam, toured its manufacturing facilities, and gained insights into the industrial production environment. Direct observation of factory operations enabled students to develop a clearer understanding of production organization, the interrelationships among operational processes, and the managerial requirements involved in running a manufacturing enterprise.
From an accounting perspective, the field visit provided students with an opportunity to examine manufacturing operations in relation to management practices and resource utilization. Their observations offered a practical context for applying academic knowledge of production cost accumulation, product costing, raw material management, and cost control. Consequently, students gained a deeper understanding of the relationship between production activities and accounting information systems in supporting effective business management.
Another valuable component of the program was the interactive exchange between students and representatives of Acecook Vietnam. Through insights shared by company representatives, students gained a better understanding of professional working environments and recognized the importance of integrating technical knowledge with communication skills, collaborative abilities, and professional conduct.
For students of class 24KT112, the visit also provided an opportunity to reflect on their academic progress and identify competencies requiring further development. Exposure to a manufacturing environment reinforced the understanding that accounting professionals are responsible not only for recording transactions and processing financial data but also for understanding business operations to provide relevant information for managerial decision-making.
Through this initiative, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting continued to promote experiential learning, strengthen university–industry engagement, and diversify its educational approaches. Such activities enable students to progressively translate classroom knowledge into practical understanding, contributing to improved educational quality and greater professional adaptability.
